Osei-Duro Theca Coat
Dramatic layering. Handwoven hand dyed indigo cotton from northern Ghana. Side slit pockets and a slim rolled lapel. Osei Duro is based in Los Angeles, California and Accra, Ghana. The brand produces textiles and garments in Ghana, India, and Peru, committed to traditional dye and weave techniques. Osei Duro aims to support local apparel industries to become sustainable while respecting the rights and aesthetics of local makers. Model is 5'2" and wearing a size small. 100% handwoven cotton. Hand wash or machine wash cold. NOTE: These natural dyed indigo garments will bleed some color the first few times they are worn. This is normal. Like with dark denim, it is recommended you don't wear it with white or sit on white upholstery until you've washed the garment several times. The garment has been pre-washed once already, so it will not shrink. While the labeling says to dry clean for safety, it is fine to either hand wash or machine wash (delicate/cold) your Osei-Duro indigo. These textiles are really special. The fabrics are hand dyed in the only village in Ghana that does natural indigo dyeing, and the technique has been passed down through generations. Made in Ghana.
