Voz Pillan Dress
Voz Pillan Dress
This luxurious pima cotton dress is hand-loomed by Mapuche artisans in the south of Chile and includes a striped, handmade belt. The dress is knit as one entire piece on a rustic wooden loom. The finished dress is processed in New York to assure only the highest quality products are delivered to Voz customers. The free-hanging fringes that adorn the bottom of the Pillan Dress highlight the natural termination of the weaving process. The symbol is weaved with naturally-dyed black cotton on a gentle cream background - the natural color of unbleached pima cotton. The featured Mapuche symbol, centered on both the front and back of the dress, is a spiritual depiction from the ancient indigenous culture celebrated by the talented women who weave with Voz. The image depicts the gracious spiritual force called "Pillan", with her arms stretched toward the sky. This same image, but with arms pointed toward the earth, depicts the malevolent spirit called "Anchirallen". One Size Fits Most means this piece will fit exceptionally well if you wear size small, medium, or large. Your Pillan Dress may come with some very slight variations (+/- 3cm) as this is an artisanal handmade item.
