In 2004, Ports 1961 was founded by Tia Cibani under the Canadian sportswear label Ports International. Since its first collection in 2006, the brand has earned fans from around the globe with a collection of timeless, structured pieces, cozy knits and sophisticated feminine separates. Ports 1961 was named for the year its parent company was founded and stays true to the cultured, well-traveled spirit of Ports International. In 2008, the label earned global attention after dressing the commentators for the Olympic Games in Beijing. Tia stepped down from the label in 2010 and in 2014 Natasa Cagalj became the brand’s designer. Previously designing for labels like Lanvin and Stella McCartney, Natasa breathes new life into this minimalist line of women’s wear with beautiful, textured fabrics and unexpected details.
