Nomia is the work of designer Yara Flinn, who draws her inspiration from modern art, sportswear, urban culture and the juxtaposition of masculine and feminine. The Designer
Established in 2007 as a collection of structural separates, NOMIA was built on a foundation of art and architecture. These principles secured the brand’s foothold as a utilitarian label with a tangible dose of artistic femininity—the best of both worlds. New York-based designer Yara Flinn has long been admired for her signature aesthetic, which is heavily focused on color-rich, original silhouettes brought to life with unique hardware. Taking inspiration from the city she lives in (Brooklyn), the women that surround her, and ‘90s-era street style, Flinn is a true, living embodiment of her designs.
