FARIS Puna Drops
- sold out
A small, yonic sculpture dangles from a metal stud. Sold as a pair. Care instructions: Bronze and silver naturally oxidize over time. This grey hue, a chemical reaction, can be removed with a metal polish and a polishing cloth. A bit of lemon juice and baking soda can also work in a pinch. To delay oxidation, keep your FARIS jewelry away from moisture, shower steam, and other water activities. And when you’re not wearing your jewelry, store it in a plastic bag. - Measures approximately 1.5″ long - Available in Sterling Silver and Bronze - Handmade in Seattle
The Boutique
Situated in a light-filled storefront on Second Avenue in Seattle’s historic Belltown neighborhood, RIZOM houses an eclectic but carefully selected mixture of clothing, jewelry, objects, and visual art. In addition to apparel and accessories from independent designers from across the United States, RIZOM is home to the showrooms of the jewelry collection FARIS, the women’s apparel line SILVAE and PACIFIC STANDARD, and a small bookstore curated by Strath Shepard.
The Designer
Simplicity makes a powerful statement when it’s in the hands of this Seattle-based jewelry designer. Faris Du Graf debuted her namesake collection in 2012 while working for a design firm in Oakland. It wasn’t long before she decamped to her hometown in the Pacific Northwest to put her degree in architecture to the test with jewelry full time. Sleek, sculptural shapes are inspired by the things Faris is inspired by in her day to day life: from nature and city life, to hip hop and pop culture. Each collection is minimalist and timeless with handmade details that give each piece a distinctive personality. Although the designer favors brass for its workability and aesthetic, she also loves to use unexpected materials that she finds on her travels, such as vinyl record shards and vintage Czech glass.
