Muddy George lives in one of Toronto’s most diverse neighborhoods, Bloorcourt. The contemporary men’s clothing shop opened in 2015 with the desire to provide a carefully curated selection of both established and emerging brands. Founders Johan Lam and Andrew Chen have been in the game since the 2003, establishing 3sixteen from a single pair of jeans: their iconic SL-100x. Produced by Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan, since 2008, the duo has successfully refreshed the SL-100x by introducing new fabrics and fits without sacrificing any of the details that have made it a cult favorite. 3sixteen has since branched into apparel and accessories, and has collaborated with local artists and well-known brands such as Schott NYC, Viberg and Pendleton Woolen Mills. Johan and Andrew also run a premium denim shop called Self Edge.
