The Designer
Based in Brooklyn, Baggu is an environmentally conscious handbag company with a knack for creating no-nonsense handbags perfect for any and every day. Parsons grad Emily Sugihara founded the line in 2007 alongside her mom Joan, a former master seamstress, and then they were later joined by Emily’s childhood best friend Ellen Vanderlaan. The family affair focuses on creating minimal handbags free of fussy embellishments and hardware in favor of classic styles that will go with literally everything. Plus, their super soft leather is always ethically sourced.
