Alex Crane is from San Francisco where he grew up half in the woods and half at the Goodwill. He spent the majority of his time hammering things and sewing clothes in his basement which was just the beginning of his design adventures. After studying at Brown University, he moved back to Brooklyn and worked for Jack Spade designing bags. Now, still in Brooklyn heโs making things under his own eponymous brand. Inspired by the idea that nobody wears a suit anymore, people work from everywhere, and work and play are one and the same, he designs clothes and other practical things for modern, working people. Basically clothing that you can wear all day, every day, rain or shine, board meeting or mountaintop. Plus, Alex Crane products are made by cool people in the United States, specifically New Jersey, Brooklyn and Los Angeles, and he considers them family. Weโre big fans.
