Elegant barely off the shoulder blouse with billowy sleeves crafted with one of a kind vintage kimono silks from the 40s to the 70s. Features buttons at front and a fitted upper torso. Pleats at lower torso allow for a flared bottom. Mindfully crafted in New York. KARABANA DIAMOND — Burnt orange silk with woven diamond pattern. Diamond motifs typically represent pine tree bark. The pine tree is associated with longevity and the wisdom gleaned in old age. The karabana flower motif is an imaginary flower thought to come from China. FUYO BRUSHSTROKE — Pale peach-beige base with ochre hand-painted hibuscus motif. Fuyo or hibiscus mutibilis, is known as the "confederate rose" in Japan and represents gentleness. TANZAKU CHARIOT — Soft pink base with scattered scroll motifs that feature flowers and streams. Tanzaku are traditional playing cards, where each card displays a flower. With each flower,, there is an associated symbolism. This pattern shows cherry blossoms (renewal and transience), irises (protection), and chrysanthemums (beauty and longevity). Chariots represent royalty and divinity. BURGUNDY HANABISHI — Rich, deep-red satin silk with a ribbed weave and a floral crest motif, occasionally highlighted in red-orange. Hanabishi, or fireworks, literally translates to fire fower, and symbolizes ephemeral beauty. Care Dry clean only. Material 100% vintage kimono silk. Each Arcana NYC piece is created using eco-friendly and sustainably-sourced materials. Global textiles are sourced from artisans practicing their indigenous craft, thereby sustaining and preserving the world's unique cultural expressions. Each garment (or heirloom-piece), therefore, has its own story, reminding us of what we inherit, and what we leave for the world to come. Fit Alyssa is 5'6" and wearing the size 4. Runs true to size.
