The Boutique
Neighbour is one of those boutiques where you could spend a long time just standing in it, wishing you could live there. New to Vancouver's Gastown neighborhood, the sleek, modern shop is a block away from their brother men's wear boutique Neighbour. Focusing on quality over quantity and trends, they stock the pristine shelves and racks with designers such as Acne Studios, Lemaire, Christopher Raeburn, Thakoon Addition and Organic by John Patrick.
The Designer
Bode’s limited-run pieces repurpose textiles from around the world for one-of-a-kind garments drafted from vintage patterns. Designer Emily Adams Bode, whose line debuted summer 2016 at NYFW: Men’s, is partial to quilts for both inspiration and technique. “Somebody spent months making those from scraps and they were, at some point, so functional and cherished,” she told T. “I’m repurposing that labor of love into a new piece. It gains a new function.”
