Lisa Foti-Straus and Cassie McGettigan founded Gravel & Gold in 2008 to support not just each other, but a broader community of artists to create joyful, useful items. Based in San Francisco, this independent, woman-owned design collective does a lot—and we mean a lot. The G&G gals share business responsibilities, a studio—even meals! The duo runs workshops and take care to express their common values through the work they create. They produce clothing, accessories and home goods with an emphasis on handmade print designs. They also frequently collaborate with many inspiring producers and artists in the Bay Area. Every single item at Gravel & Gold is made with wit, utility and beauty.
