Machus is a family owned, modern clothing boutique in Portland’s Lower East Burnside neighborhood. Their mission statement is simple: To curate a store with the most compelling designers in the contemporary men’s market. Often avoiding more obvious, larger labels, we selects upcoming, under-the-radar designers and mix them with iconic staples to create a totally unique shopping experience.

Most California-based streetwear seems to draw a heavy influence from the area’s pervasive cultural history, but few brands navigate that space with as much originality as Brain Dead. Created by designer Kyle Ng, the brand (that also functions as an art collective) blends hyper-modern internet culture, skateboarding, and other underground worlds to create graphic pieces that bring a sense of disruption to fashion. Offerings include hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets, and tees with bold illustrations and retro patterns, as well as their signature Brain Dead logo, for a more subtle look.
