Hello. I am curious if a small or medium would be better for me. My lower waist is 36" and my hip is 39". I think a small may work but I would be interested to know when the medium is on the smallest hole what is the measurement? Also - with the stud closure - is this a firm "close?" It looks like it could be at risk of opening easily and I want to confirm it closes firmly. Thank you.

Thanks so much for reaching out! The stud closure is a solid close. I keep the hole smaller so that it requires a bit more of a push and pull for the exact reason you mention. If you prefer a snap for extra sturdiness, I can certainly do that in replacement. In regards to the belt sizes, it sounds like the medium would give you a few extra inches but that option depends more on whether or not that would be a bother to have extra belt. The tightest hole closure on the Medium is at 34" extending fully to 43". For the Small, the tightest hole is at 27.5" and the most extended hole is at 38" That said, if you prefer to have it customized, I'd be more than happy to make a belt with the longest extension at 39.5" making the full length of the belt around 42". Let me know what you prefer and I'll make it happen for you:-)

Would you like me to add holes for you? They are standard to the size of the half inch wide brass belt buckle.

The size Small belt has the longest extended hole at 38" and the tightest at 29" I could keep with the 1.5" distance and add 4 more holes so that there is one at the 23" measurement. However, if that seems like it will be too long of a belt for you (with the 38" hole), I would be more than happy to make the belt smaller with the farthest hole at 32" Let me know what sounds best for you!

It's longest extension will be at 38" so it will depend on the distance around your crossbody region. This will vary depending on your chest size and torso length so I'm not able to say with complete assurance.
