Shaped by hand in Clyde's own Brooklyn based studio, the label favors a minimal aesthetic using small batches of fine fibers from Italy. Made from lambskin leather, the soft and malleable fabric allows for a slouchy wear on the crown. The playful shape is an updated homage to the classic beret headwear that first became popular for artists and nobility across Europe in the 19th century. For additional detailing, a button-tie closure can be found on the banding.
The Boutique
Maimoun is derived from the Persian language word “meh-moun” meaning the company or guest(s) who are invited to visit your home for a gathering. This Brooklyn-based online boutique welcomes visitors to wander through their edited collection of pieces from around the world. They focus on finding new and established artists who honor the traditional, slow and thoughtfully carried out process of creation and construction. From clothing to home to print to beauty, they offer items that blend into and build out the individual context that is around us. If that’s not enough, their website features a play button that introduces you to an emerging artist they love. Listen, shop and discover all in one.
The Designer
Ever since she began making crochet accessories in 2010, Dani Griffiths has watched her small side project blossom into a full-blown brand. The Vancouver native learned the fashion industry ropes at Assembly NY while developing a following for her beautiful wool pieces. Focused on concise, minimalist design and individual expression, she expanded quickly to the sculptural hand block hats we love and a new line of accessories crafted with Italian leather. Everything is made in New York.
