Drawing inspiration from the breathtaking high-altitude scenery and the distinct southwestern palette, these placemats blend minimalist design with a bohemian spirit, perfectly capturing the essence of Taos's natural splendor. Each placemat is handmade, requiring attention from four types of artisans, including wood carvers, block printers, Kantha stitchers, and dye specialists. The table mat's design is hand-pressed onto cotton using hand-carved wooden blocks dipped in dyes. The printed canvas is then hand-stitched with a traditional Kantha stitch, creating the final product. Crafted in small, thoughtful batches, our placemats celebrate uniqueness, with each piece showcasing slight variations that highlight its handcrafted nature.
