Cvet Préri [svet prer-ee] is a creative practice producing small-batch and made-to-order clothing — crafted ethically and locally from start to finish in Vancouver, Canada. Rooted in family heritage, the resulting aesthetic blends vintage and modern sensibilities, underpinned by a quietly playful, intimately pared-back perspective. Cvet Préri was created by Michaela Knittel, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Translating to prairie flower in Serbian and Hungarian, the name honors the homelands and spirit of her grandmother and two great-grandaunts — all professional seamstresses themselves.
