Sold separately. Vortex Cardigan and Vortex Mini Skirt. A shrunken fit, hand loomed in blue/purple space-dyed knit. Featuring exposed seams. A tight fit lends itself to featuring the skewed open button closure design. Given the handmade nature and small batch dyes, each piece is slightly unique in color and fit. Gabe Gordon is a Providence-based textile artist and designer currently pursuing his BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design. The pieces included in this collection titled “Tight Squeeze," aim to visualize the surreal and dream-like nature of grief through a tension between warmth and constriction. The yarns used in this collection were sustainably sourced from a local company in Rhode Island that carries discarded yarns from other mills.
The Boutique
Maimoun is derived from the Persian language word “meh-moun” meaning the company or guest(s) who are invited to visit your home for a gathering. This Brooklyn-based online boutique welcomes visitors to wander through their edited collection of pieces from around the world.
