Reflective of a mutual respect for the adaptability of raw denim, the collaboration began when legendary fashion brand OAK visited the Graf Lantz Studio in Los Angeles. Holger Graf and Daniel Lantz partnered with OAK founders Louis Terline and Jeff Madalena to develop this limited edition collection of 2 exclusive City Totes for Fall 2016. As a group they were drawn to the finish and fraying of some of the denim laying around the studio, and both brands started playing around with the material, and prototyped into the night. The energy of the bag is very much a reflection of that evening. The set of two totes were featured in the Oak Spring/Summer 2017 Womenswear Presentation in New York Fashion Week. 11" W x 14" H X 11" D 9" Handle Drop Made in USA Please note: all bags are hand-treated. Slight variations may occur.
The Designer
Walking the line between classic and avant-garde, designers Holger Gräf and Daniel Lantz are reinterpreting luxe materials into a modern, minimalist line of women’s wear. But before launching their first collection, the designers lived opposite lifestyles — while Holger was working on earning a PhD in structural engineering, Daniel was living in Japan, immersing himself in the country’s culture. These distinctly different perspectives continue to influence the designers’ joint creative vision today. Simple silhouettes and sophisticated shapes meld with unorthodox textures, bright hues and exposed stitching.
