The brand’s baskets, bags, hats, and more are designed in NYC and produced by women in Rwanda and Ghana, who are paid a fair-trade income for their work. All of the company’s profits go back to these ladies, and not just in wages: Indego Africa has invested extensively in the education of its employees, offering programs that range from skills-based vocational training to business management.
