The Designer
After nearly a decade of designing for fashion heavyweights like Calvin Klein, Leigh Miller Newman began to experiment in the jewelry realm and found home. Inspired by naturally-found patterns and forms and translating them into metal, the designer launched her first collection in 2014 at Creatures of Comfort (watch out for their rad collab in SS16). She uses melted wax to cast and hammer a full spectrum of metals into seriously lust-worthy pieces. The collection is produced nearly in it's entirely by Leigh and her small team of artisans in her Glassell Park studio, nestled in the hills on the outskirts of Los Angeles using sustainable methods and metals.
