Nadira and Ryan Hurley, the founders of Vert & Vogue, met in 2001 at a Parisian men's boutique that Nadira managed. After buying an entire new wardrobe from her, Ryan mustered the courage to ask Nadira on a date. A year later, they were married and, a year after that, living in New York. Vert & Vogue is the child born out of this love story, a combination of Ryan’s passion for sustainable business and Nadira’s fashion savvy. In 2008 twin sisters Lizzie and Kathryn Fortunato started an adventure in found, reclaimed and precious materials. They wanted to create unique accessories that champion handicraft from a range of places and cultures, with inspiration from Morocco, Turkey and India to name a few. Kathryn’s background on Wall Street could handle business, while Lizzie would design. Today their jewelry and leather goods are featured on cool girls and in magazine photo shoots all over the world.
