The Boutique
Founded in 2011, Understudy began as a menswear boutique with a focus on providing globally-sourced, high quality clothing and accessories. Since then, Understudy has continued to evolve with the addition of a women’s department that echos the shop’s longtime commitment to celebrating individual style through an appreciation of design, culture and community.
The Designer
Based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Norse Projects offers elevated interpretations of staples from men’s and women’s apparel. With roots in retail streetwear, creative director Tobia Sloth, has fused a clean, sophisticated, minimalist aesthetic with skate, military, and nautical references to create a consistent product offering season after season. A slew of collaborations with respected brands like SUICOKE, Head Porter, Tricker’s, and Armor Lux, as well as projects with esteemed artists such as Geoff Mcfetridge, Misaki Kawai, and James Jarvis among others, have shown the brand’s versatility in infusing Scandinavian sensibility while also keeping it at the forefront of the fashion industry.
