The designer's eponymous collection has always been about the process of actually making clothes. Trained in graphic design and fine arts, Ali's first garments were constructed and sewn in her spare time, as a hobby. But in 2011, she discovered that what she loved doing for fun could actually be a career and the rest is history. Everything is designed and produced in Oakland, California.

Clothes and jewelry by this Barcelona-based brand are like little odes to the city: everything’s produced locally and often features collaborations with local contemporary artists (check the illustrative prints for proof). Founded in 2014 by Paloma Lanna, the brand operates outside of the seasons of the fashion industry by gradually releasing timeless pieces throughout the year.
