Having been raised in Berkeley, California by free-spirited artisan parents, fashion designer Raquel Allegra was immersed in creativity from a very young age. Today she is an innovator on the fashion scene and her signature shredding technique is instantly recognizable. Like a true artist, her design inspiration comes from the most unconventional places. Case in point: the full length webbed cocoon shapes that originated from her liberating experiments with vintage t-shirts recycled from the Los Angeles County Prison System.
