The Boutique
This small and intimate studio and boutique was founded by Leslie Fraley and first opened its doors in November of 2013 in Kansas City. Finefolk’s captivating collection of artistic wares has garnered a loyal following for the selection of lifestyle goods that are all made with integrity by gifted designers and artists. In order to accommodate the boutique’s growing selection, Finefolk moved to a larger location which now has even more room for artful homewares, books and beauty products as well as clothing. With designers like Lauren Manoogian, Black Crane and Maryam Nassir Zadeh, we’re basically in heaven.
The Designer
Having been raised in Berkeley, California by free-spirited artisan parents, fashion designer Raquel Allegra was immersed in creativity from a very young age. Today she is an innovator on the fashion scene and her signature shredding technique is instantly recognizable. Like a true artist, her design inspiration comes from the most unconventional places. Case in point: the full length webbed cocoon shapes that originated from her liberating experiments with vintage t-shirts recycled from the Los Angeles County Prison System. Today Allegra is an international success with customers all over the globe who love her lavish, bohemian style and use of recycled fabrics. Raquel has continued to keep us on our toes since hitting the fashion scene and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
