We supply them with high-quality materials and tools so that they are able to practice their craft to the absolute best of their abilities. We cultivate an environment centered on professional development and self care, setting aside time each week for both. RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN: At every step of our supply chain, we purchase from responsible and ethical suppliers. Our wool is sourced from rural shepherds, then hand-dyed using low-impact dyes before being woven into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind rug. We believe in supporting small businesses, the heart of the world economy. No huge suppliers or harsh chemicals, it’s just that simple. PRESERVING TRADITIONS:Women are the bearers of the Moroccan weaving tradition and each woman, family, and region upholds distinct styles and techniques, honed over hundreds of years. Though the recent design trend in vintage Moroccan rugs shines a very well deserved light on their unique beauty, vintage on its own does little to support artisans who are alive and weaving today. Buying contemporary creates financial incentive for the weavers to preserve their craft and pass cultural knowledge on to their children, thus protecting the weaving tradition for generations to come.
