Built on the belief that high design should be accessible to everyone, New York’s Slow and Steady Wins the Race takes everyday classics and reimagines them into conceptual pieces that throw away the rules but retain their iconic status. The label was created in 2001 by designer Mary Ping, presented as a quarterly fashion diary, and the label has now expanded out of traditional seasons. The collections are creative yet casual; timeless and timely. Ping is well immersed with thinking outside of the box — she often works with artists, graphic designers and architects, as well as contributing to and curating exhibitions.
