3.8 billion years ago life began on earth. And over millions of years multicellular life evolved into land plants and forests. The colors and shapes of flowers, fruits and seeds all have unique purposes and are as beautiful as they are functional. The concept for Sola Cubes marries two traditional Japanese values: a reverence for nature and a philosophical appreciation of small, humble elements that are easily overlooked. Each cube is cast from crystal clear acrylic resin and then hand polished, right down to its crisp, micro-radiused edge. Considerable craftsmanship is required to make the cubes, ensuring that no air bubbles are present. Preserved inside is a single leaf, seed, or flower—individually or in groups, the cubes create an opportunity for a meditative moment on the beauty and power of the natural world. Each Sola cube is carefully handmade by an experienced Japanese craftsman, and each one takes considerable time and effort to complete. Outstanding craftsmanship is required to ensure that this small transparent cube, which measures only 4cm, holds a plant at its very center, ensuring that no air bubbles get inside. - 1.6" x 1.6" x 1.6" - Acrylic Resin - Made in Japan Available in : - Rock Crystal - Amythest - Pyrite - Desert Rose - Aragonite
