Created by a husband and wife duo, City Workshop is one of those rad casual lifestyle shops for men where they can discover hard to find, high quality wares. Lines like Naked & Famous, Woolrich and Taylor Stitch reflect the shop’s consistent focus on craftsmanship, civic duty and environmental consciousness. The New Jersey space is complete with an industrial workshop feel inspired by Thomas A. Edison.
Woolrich is an American apparel institution. It was 1830 when John Rich — fresh off the boat from England — set up a woolen mill in Plum Run, Pennsylvania, traveling to local lumber camps and farms to sell his wool fabrics, socks and yarns. In 1850, the company introduced the enduring buffalo check shirt, the first in a series of pieces designed as workwear that now populate many modern closets.
