The Boutique
Neighbour is one of those boutiques where you could spend a long time just standing in it, wishing you could live there. New to Vancouver's Gastown neighborhood, the sleek, modern shop is a block away from their brother men's wear boutique Neighbour. Focusing on quality over quantity and trends, they stock the pristine shelves and racks with designers such as Acne Studios, Lemaire, Christopher Raeburn, Thakoon Addition and Organic by John Patrick.
The Designer
Tokyo-born designer Yohji Yamamoto is a hugely influential force in fashion, known for his avant-garde tailoring and award-winning POV. After the massive success of his eponymous brand, Yohji launched his second line, Y’s, in 1977. Y’s places an emphasis on Yohji’s penchant for androgyny and achromatism, and stays true to these values to this day with oversized silhouettes and a spare palette that keep the line as forward thinking as ever.
