A versatile and flattering shape that works for any occasion. The Adaka dress has a shift silhouette and features short sleeves and front button detailing. - Dry clean or hand wash cold, hang dry. Hand dyed with indigo by traditional dyers in Northern Ghana. We wash all of our indigo fabrics several times, but please note that our natural indigo pieces will crock. This means for the first few wears you should expect some color loss. This tendency is a sign of authenticity in West Africa, and the blue is considered to have medicinal properties on the skin. If you feel differently, try soaking in vinegar solution and drying in the sun.

Founders Maryanne Mathias and Molly Keogh work with local garment workers and artisans in Ghana to create their collections, applying traditional techniques to each piece. Osei-Duro aims to support the local apparel industry, on both a large and small scale, in becoming sustainable. Maryanne and Molly met in high school and their friendship continued across the country at fashion school and abroad until they teamed up to create a global fashion line together. The rest, as they say, is history.
