Who is Garmentory? Garmentory is a marketplace for shoppers to discover fashion goods from independent boutiques + contemporary designers.
What does it do? Garmentory allows participating vendors to sell their merchandise within a community of like-minded boutiques and designers. They can do this by creating a store profile where they can list their products (manually or via Shopify integration). There are two ways to sell: Make An Offer (sale stock) and Buy Now (in-season stock).
What's a store profile?
Store profiles are a way for vendors to introduce themselves to shoppers. Profiles include their store photos, address, hours of operation, social media feeds and the products they are listing on Garmentory.

How does Garmentory work? Shoppers can browse in-season items listed at fixed price and click to purchase through a shopping cart or pick a price and “make an offer” on sale items.
The Vendor is in full control The vendor will either receive confirmation when an item has been purchased at full retail or notifications when offers are placed on their sale items. These “offers” may be accepted, rejected or countered by the vendor.
We make it really easy Once an order or offer is confirmed and accepted, the vendor can print out a ship label (paid for by Garmentory), package the goods (in Garmentory provided packaging), and drop it in a mailbox.
Simple and Straightforward pricing Garmentory collects a nominal fee on each sale. Please contact us at email@example.com for more details about commission rates and fees. Your proceeds from the prior month are sent out on the 15th of each month.

I'm concerned that I’ll be hurting my brand by joining a marketplace. Please alleviate this concern for me. Maintaining brand quality is one of our primary goals. Since our launch, we’ve focused on recruiting like-minded boutiques and designers. So you’re among friends! We aim for excellence in design that contributes to your brand and our target users are fashion-loving opinion-leaders.
What about the money? Garmentory will send you a payment on the 15th of each month for all sales in the prior month.
What’s in my store profile?
Your store profile will have your a photo of your store, address, hours of operation, social media feeds and the products you’ve listed.

I’m too busy to take photos. Products looks best when shot on a model. When a model is not available, take a photo of it on a hanger against a white wall or flat on the floor. You can style your products to fit your brand. For example, photos of your products against your wallpaper, styled with objects, etc. Another suggestion is to gather your product shots directly from the brands you purchased from. (With their permission, of course).
