Designer Notes: YOU AS
This summer’s menswear collections are riddled with prints and it's safe to say this is a trend that will be around for seasons to come. We're big fans of prints but they can definitely be a tricky trend to navigate. For guidance, we caught up with Tony Liu, designer and Creative Director of YOU AS, a brand known for their original and wearable prints, to get the inside scoop on his favorite summer prints and how to wear them.
"My favorite prints of the season are the navy water print and pink flower shop print. The navy water print is a cool and easy print inspired by the movement of waves. Printed on a classic 1940s-style rayon gabardine, the print takes on a life of its own and ripples along with the breeze. The pink flower shop print is inspired by New York City's floral district, where tropical plants spill out onto grimy city sidewalks. These printed shirts are staples for summer. Wear it with denim or a slim-fit chino. If you're really going for it, wear the matching set together. You can't go wrong with it. The sets have been really popular for us so far."
