The Return Of The Skirt
For the past few years the skirt has been a disappearing act in our wardrobes. It just wasn’t cutting it. We would look into our closets, see it, then decide against it. We have just been very, very addicted to jumpsuits, jeans and culottes. Jumpsuits were (still are) the holy grail of comfort and pants give you that liberating “I can do anything in world including cartwheels” feeling. But things changed after we saw the SS17 collections. With so many levels of creativity, the multitude of skirts on the runways were powerful, and different.
From Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s feminine and breezy midis with loose ruffles to Rodebjer’s utilitarian A-line silhouettes, the options were endless. So obviously we need to get our hands on every single one. As spring rolls around we find ourselves with serious skirt fever. Below are the ones we’re most excited about right now. With varying hemlines, volumes and details, it’s easy to fall in love with, well, all of them.
This is one of the most flattering skirts we know. Enough said.
Don't forget about the classic pencil skirt.
