Rhinestones on your sweater? Check. Zebra print? Check. Towering heels in raffia? Check. But are we talking about the outfit you lusted over in highschool or the pieces in your shopping cart now? Why not both!
Our fascination with maximalism of the early aughts hasn’t faded. Revealing cuts, neon colors, shredded denim, wedge heels...these pieces embody the decadent fun and freedom of the era. And it makes sense that we’re currently craving this look—this is the fashion that helps shake our longing for post-covid parties, travel, and fun. Being all dressed up with nowhere to go isn’t a problem when the look can transport you.
This period in fashion (yes, it’s vintage now) abandoned traditional “good taste” in favor of rebellious fun. Think of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Raven-Symoné of That’s So Raven. Elegance was out the window, but their looks were fun.
You’ll find the early 2000s in Garmentory mainstays like Maryam Nassir Zadeh and Priscavera who reference the era in their collections (micro-minis, archive prints, and low-rise bottoms), but it’s also available in all its original glory in our vintage and preloved new arrivals. Discover vintage Roberto Cavalli, espadrille pumps, and destroyed denim in the mix below.
