Elements of Design
The storied furniture and design fair returns this April. First launched in Milan in 1961 as a platform to promote Italian exports of furnishings and accessories, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile has since become the global benchmark for the design and furniture sector.
It is no secret that Italians have a knack for design. In anticipation of the fair, we have rounded up a handful of favorite objets dโart for the home, with a particular focus on color. Think bold stools, sculptural vases, and small but striking accents you did not know you needed, like a playful paperweight or a campy bookend by Lunares that recalls the towering platforms made famous by Ferragamo.
Among the mix, you will also find the iconic resin vases by Italian artist Gaetano Pesce, objects that blur the line between art, design, and everyday life.
