Fall Color Combos
Fall makes us want to rethink color—to reach beyond the usual rusts, olives, and burgundies and try combinations that feel a little less ordinary. So we took a page from one of our favorite 1930s Japanese books, A Dictionary of Color Combinations (you can find it on eBay), which laid the foundation for modern color theory. Each spread features a combination of shades, often those you might not think to put together. We reference it any time the season changes, whenever we're stuck on a color, or if we're trying to accessorize in an unexpected way. It works just as well for getting dressed as it does for home decor and event planning.
To that end, we pulled a few pages of unexpected palettes perfect for autumn styling.
