MAANCY
Founded in Los Angeles in 2023, MAANCY brings traditional craftsmanship into a contemporary vocabulary of jewelry and objects. A small team of artisans handcrafts each piece in the brand’s LA atelier, stringing natural gemstones by hand. There’s something especially appealing about MAANCY’s sense of restraint—these aren’t objects designed for mass replication, but pieces made deliberately to last.
SIZ
SIZ is an ethical and sustainable Portuguese womenswear brand founded by twin sisters and fashion designers Raquel and Sofia. Taking inspiration from the natural environment around them, they create light and airy separates and dresses that ground fantastical aesthetics with flattering, practical silhouettes. All pieces are also constructed by hand, either by SIZ's founders or local workers for unique collections made with love.
Maadili Collective
Maadili Collective works directly with women’s weaving cooperatives in Uganda, turning locally sourced raffia, banana fiber, and horns into baskets and home objects. The process is remarkably hands-on: artisans hand-dye the fibers, often using plants they grow and gather themselves, then weave each piece over days or weeks. No two baskets are exactly alike.
Arthur
Arthur Apparel’s playful aesthetic is rooted in a desire to inspire individuality and creative freedom. Known for bright palettes and idiosyncratic details, the brand embraces pieces that don’t take themselves too seriously—personality-led clothing that makes getting dressed feel like a small act of joy.
Chase Shuman
Founded in Georgia in 2022, Chase Shuman makes what it calls “poetic clothing." Quiet, minimal pieces influenced by French and Japanese design. But the poetry is also in the process. The brand’s small-batch garments are meticulously handmade and produced in New York City, with natural hues and dyeing techniques appearing throughout its collections.
Yesaet
Founded by Hiywet Mimi Girma, YESAET sits at the intersection of New York craftsmanship and Girma’s Pan-African textile heritage. The brand works with women-led cooperatives in Ethiopia, Ghana, and Burkina Faso to develop handwoven and artisanal textiles, then produces its garments to order in New York. The result is modern clothing carrying the history of the hands and techniques behind its materials—a contemporary wardrobe built around craftsmanship rather than excess.
