Jacoba Jane
Jacoba Jane specializes in bias-cut silk dresses, all of which are designed in their seaside studio on the west coast of Canada. Cutting on the bias helps capture silk's easy fluidity, and they use some of the most luxurious fabrics on the market.
Jacoba Jane was founded in 2019 as a small online shop born from a simple love for dressmaking and beautiful fabrics. They love discovering and interpreting new ideas through tactical means, such as draping on a dress form. The science of patternmaking is complemented by the art of draping, two processes that work hand in hand to provide a roadmap for each new piece. With a focus on sustainability and small-batch production, they aim to create a world where fashion is slower and more intentional, yet always fun.
