Smoothie People
I always wanted to be the kind of person who makes smoothies in the morning, to pump essential nutrients into my veins at the start of each day. Who doesn’t love a smoothie, anyway? The only problem was I never felt like I had the time to make them and clean up after myself before darting to whatever meeting or exercise class or approaching deadline was first on my agenda. The pandemic changed that, and now I’m a proud smoothie person with go-to recipes and a fridge and pantry stocked with all the necessary ingredients. No longer is it a time-consuming task—it’s a ritual.
Below are three of my favorite recipes. Each incorporates mushroom powders to aid healthy skin, energy and endurance, or mental clarity. Feel free to swap out our add your own favorite supplements in any recipe or forgo them entirely. You can also use these as templates to build off of depending on what you have on hand. The only required ingredient is a blender—and for those looking to level up, beautiful glassware for serving your creations.
