The Big Names
There are literally hundreds of designers and collections and boutiques to explore on Garmentory, and we pride ourselves on showcasing the most innovative up-and-comers in the fashion sphere. But that doesn’t mean we don’t love the big fashion houses. In fact, you’ll find wares ( latest releases and sought-after vintage) from so many high-end designers here that it might actually surprise you. To help you peruse, I’ve picked my favorite piece(s) and dream looks from a full lineup of top designers. See them all and shop these famous names below.
A.L.C. always feels so fresh and easy. If we’re taking the bra top trend with us into the next season (and we are), this bandeau would be perfect under a bulky blazer.
I am not athletic, so there are no championship rings in my future—except perhaps this fashion championship ring, which I have definitely earned.
Hello, perfect holiday look.
It’s September in Seattle, meaning that six months of rain will be here any minute. So this jacket is a need, not a want.
If someone said I could only choose five designers to wear for the rest of my life (and said person also gave me unlimited funds to do so), Dries Van Noten would land in the top three. These trousers would absolutely be in the mix.
A lifetime ago, I interviewed Jason Wu for a story during the launch of Miss Wu. He was lovely and ethereal, much like his designs—including this pussy-bow blouse.
Thanks to Sex and the City, Jimmy Choo is probably the first designer shoe line I could have ever named. These architectural heels have been on my list for a long time, and will be classics for even longer.
Do these hot men’s combat boots come in my size, please?
Did I mention it’s September in Seattle? This trench from the Japanese fashion house is ahhmazing.
There are some truly beautiful things from the French design house available. This double-sided button-up tops my list.
These platform sneakers are in my size and available secondhand from Consignment Brooklyn. Someone please snatch them up before I do.
And this padded bag, my god.
I also love MM6, Margiela’s diffusion line that often feels a bit easier to wear. Case and point, these gorgeous palazzo pants.
In my dreams, I’ve stolen this sweater from the closet of my imaginary boyfriend.
Love a square-toe boot, and these are the ideal balance of tough and glamorous.
Rachel Comey is the ultimate cool girl and I would wear basically anything she designs. This dress features my favorite silhouette.
Frankly, I am nowhere hip enough to wear Raf Simons. But if I were, I’d wear this sweater.
I have an unhealthy obsession with the Olsen twins. This sweater is everything I could possibly ask for in knitwear. Add these sunnies from their laidback line Elizabeth and James for the perfect fall look.
